Hi all..
Just asking...are there any other PN/LPN students here? Either currently attending or soon to attend...or even those who "want" to attend??....
Thanks!!!!!!!!!! (((((((((((((( HUGS )))))))))))

I had my first full week of LPN school this week. At 40 yrs old and going back to school, I did better than I thought. I scored 94, 95 and 100 on 3 tests ( yes I had 3 tests the first week, lol) I really think I am going to enjoy school, and this is what I always wanted to do. My dear Husband has taken on extra shifts at work so I can finally fulfill my dream of nursing, and is a wonderful support to me. I want to go on after I graduate in June 2007 straight to taking Pre-req RN classes, and eventually I would like to obtain a BSN. I am the oldest student in my class, but it isnt seeming to matter, I was afraid I would feel uncomfortable, but I have a great class, seems we have mixed in well together, The facilitator said we are nice and quiet and calm compared to last years class...lol. I am glad I pursued my dream, Im happy :D
Welcome...cjm65 & Kadee7....cjm65....that is awesome!!! I'm in my 40's too...and will be starting this Fall. Its wonderful to have hubby's support..mine is behind me all the way too!
Anna.
I hope you enjoy the LPN classes as much as I have and am. I am glad I waited in a way. All the years working 6-7 days a week owning a business, and always wanted to be a nurse, now that Im older, I am really working at it and I feel HONORED to be there. I wish you the best of luck!

Hello all,
I am starting my LPN program August 21, Yikes only 21 more days. This is a two semester program with all of the prereqs done, which I have done on the 8th of august. Thank goodness for summer classes! Good luck to all of the current students, to all the wannabes, I say be patient it will pay off in the end, and congrats to all the new grads.

hi. im a recent grad from LVN school and im glad im done but am nervous about boards. School does not really get ready fro the real world when it comes to the field but it is a great feeling. how much longer do you have
Oh I understand completely that I wont be ready for the real world. Luckily, I have several RN close friends, and another that is an ultrasound tech. The RN's are arranging for me to do shadow rotations so I can do pt assesment, etc., with them which Im sure will teach me alot. I will be done in June 2007. I already had my pre-req out of the way when I started. Good Luck on your boards! My thoughts and prayers are with you!

Getting ready to start LPN in August and will graduate from it in July of 07 and then on to RN the following August. I am soooooooooooooo excited and cannot wait to start.....bored stiff here at home waiting. I wish I could get my books now and start reading, but the school will only let you get your books two weeks before school starts with the financial aid.
