I know Denmark Tech, in Denmark, S.C. just started a nursing program about a year ago. Does anybody know anything about it like if there is a waiting list and how the instructors are. I would like to hear from anybody who has this info. Thanks.

They entered their first class last fall. According to Labor Licensing and Regulation the SC Board of Nursing says they are an "approved" school. I didn't see anything about accreditation on that site. I would call or write the school about a waiting list etc. It only listed 3 Nursing instructors though there are probably more in the other required courses.

Let us know what you find out OK?
Hi,
Thank you so much for the information. I did not think i would find someone with the information cause Denmark is a small town. I really appreciate and the information was helpful.

I am not familiar with Denmark Tech, however I did just graduate from AIken Tech. The program in Aiken is new as well. If I were you I would look into weither the Denmark program is accredited with a national nursing organization. Your ability to apply for further education or possibly jobs may be limited if the program does not have national accreditation.
The program I completed was going through "growing pains". The staff did manage to complete the national accrediting process (whew). When I applied there I was not aware of potential limitations due to lack of credentials. When I found out I was two semesters in and they were just finishing the process.
If you do not plan on getting a BSN or working for the Federal Gov. then you most likely have nothing to worry about. Good luck in the future, study hard.
