Hi everyone, I was wondering if there are any nurses out there who can tell me about their experiences working for NIH. It's seems like an interesting place to work for. I have a few questions:
How are the nurses treated?
Overall, are the nurses happy with their job?
How are the benefits?
Do they do 12hr shifts also?
Feel free to add any more information that may be helpful to me. Thanks alot for your help.

I have a good friend who works at NIH. She's a nurse researcher (PhD). She loves it and really encouraged me to apply there after graduation. I'm doing ISU distance ed LPN-BSN so I get to pick my clinical sites and I'm working on getting arrangements with NIH and with Georgetown.

I am interested in working at the NIH clinical research center. I will be graduating in May with a BSN. Are there currently any opportunities available for graduate nurses?

Hi! I'm applying for a position (clinical research nurse) at NIH and I was wondering what is it like there? My main questions are: Do you have to rotate shifts? And is 36 hrs a week still considered full time (mainly from a benefit perspective)? Thanks! Any other info would be great too =)

Bumping this thread to see if there are more replies. Does anyone know how long is the hiring process. Theres not alot of info on this site like other facilities. How long ago did anyone put in an app b4 u where called back for an interview. What is the interview process like? Also how is the traffic/neighborhood around the facility any hints or pointers would be greatly appreciated. :heartbeat
traffic in this area is pretty bad..most people work work at nih use the metro as parking is pretty limited and fulls up fast in the morning. usajobs.gov is the best way to apply
