Any RNs out there looking to rejoin the work force (for me, after a year sabbatical)? I had my resume professionally rewritten and updated and posted it on “reputable” job boards ie: Indeed, Monster, Zip Recruiter. I have been receiving calls and poorly written email by companies, I feel are phishing....claiming to be “off and on shore” with spoofed phone numbers, no knowledge whatsoever of what a legit client would expect from the candidates these heavily accented (and No I am NOT racist, quite the opposite) recruiters present to them, no idea of the geography of the US, asking redundant nonsensical closed ended questions with the expectation/looking a for “yes” response. ie: are you currently licensed, were you licensed last year, are you a citizen of the US, legally allowed to work the United State (yes, United State). Just wondering if I am COVID paranoid or someone else is experiencing this type of thing?
Thank you in advance for your input.

Sounds like scamming to me!.
Lots of news recently re the increase of scams, particularly in this time of covid. Too close to be taken seriously, esp with all those "YES" questions.
Better safe than sorry!

I wouldn’t even answer inquiries with broken english, unless I was ready to move to their country. If a company has first contact with potential employees and they can’t communicate, it’s a rotten first sign.

I wouldn't answer the phone of unknown/unrecognizable numbers and let them leave a message. A reputable company will leave a message and not hang up. That gives you an opportunity to do your due diligence investigation into the company prior to calling them back.
