Any Northwestern College of Nursing Students??? Just got accepted!!

I am just looking for any Northwestern College of Nursing in Bridgeview IL students, or newly accepted students!!! Any advice? or comments would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks.

Hello all! Did any of you take the Compass Exam before applying to their program? Is it similar to the TEAS? I am hoping to be accepted this Fall. Congrats to everyone who was accepted! :)

Yes you have to take their COMPASS exam when you apply. It's kinda similar to the TEAS in the fact that it has Math, Reading, Grammar, etc... but the COMPASS exam is WAAAAAAY easier than the TEAS! The COMPASS exam also doesn't have any science. For example.. you don't have to study for the COMPASS..but you have to...or at least you should... study for the TEAS. HTH :D

@ PBnJ......you dont have to take the compass if you are transferring in credits. I didn't have to take it because I already have college english, speech, math, chem, bio and more completed. So it really depends on your situation. I think they will even only have you take certain sections of the compass if you're transferring in some credits. I would go to an info session, because they will answer any questions you have, you explain all the steps for applying. Good Luck!! Let us all know if you get in!

I actually just remembered.. I was told that you didn't have to take the COMPASS unless you got at least a19 or 21 on your ACT(can't remember which one)... so did you get that on your ACT hon? I have a ton of classes too that I'm transferring in..if I get in...but I still had to take the COMPASS.:confused:

Yes. I got over a 21 on my ACT. So maybe that's the reason I didn't need the compass. Haha. I get so damn mixed up with every school requirements and stuff.

:lol2: I know right.. so many schools.. all the sh*t starts to meld together..lol Yah, that's why you didn't have to take it hon. I took the ACT in like 1987...I have no idea what the hell I got or where to even find out that info.. so I just took the damn test..:lol2:
