Just wondering if anyone out here is a NH Pre-Nursing student? I actually haven't started classes yet, but I will be starting my first pre-req in the spring. I already have some pre-req's out of the way because I already have obtained an AS degree from the same school I'd be going to for nursing :)
I will be looking at the program at NHTI.
wow!! I did not know that and that is definately an option for me and eases my mind!! That would be much easier for me! I will have to check into that program. I am so excited to be on my way finally!Does anyone know why UNH is not showing as a NLNAC accredited school? The only ones showing for NH are the tech colleges and Rivier and then St Joes LPN program.....
Oh good, I'm glad that helped!
UNH is accredited by the AACN

along w/ Colby Sawyer and St. A's (and it looks like Rivier, too, though probably only for their BSN/MSN programs as the AACN does not accredit associate degree programs).
uggghhh looks like I will have to take statistics!! Also human growth and devel. Hopefully I can get them done at the tech and then I will only need to take the core Nursing there as well! Seems doable once I graduate from NHCTC-Laconia!Glad to see NH people on here!!
Me again... I'm surprised human growth & development isn't required at Laconia... I think it is for NHCTC-Manchester/Stratham and NHTI. I took it last semester though and it wasn't bad at all. You could probably do that in a summer semester or whatever. And stats shouldn't be too bad, either (course I majored in math in college, so you probably should take that statement with a grain of salt )
Stats is the one I cringe about. HG&D is really pre-pre bio and psych rolled into one. Should be cake. Hoping to take it online maybe or in the summer.
I was actually surprised by many classes that are not required but should be taken such as Med Term, Law & Ethics for the Medical Professional, etc. I took them anyways as I can use for a dual degree in business or OTM.
I started a new thread regarding the acceditation bodies as to pros and cons and differences.
I emailed UNH prog directorwith q's and already got a response and I am impressed!!! I am sure that is where I will end up going!
Has anyone gotten their letter yet? I know some girls in my micro class that applied to NHCTC Manch got theirs tuesday...but NHCTC Stratham letters havent arrived yet.....should be this week though! Good luck to everyone!
Coley28: You are not alone!! The wait is driving me mad. I am sure we will receive them this week - maybe today?! Good luck to you and everyone else waiting for THAT letter.
