Hey you again I am not at NCP, but I did look at their SSF campus. It seemed like they offer a good program. The hours they offered were difficult for me because of my children. I have heard good things about NCP. You can check their NCLEX-PN pass rates online at http://www.bvnpt.ca.gov/98vnstat.htm

Hey to you too again Yeah, I'm probably going to be going to NCP at the Hayward campus, I have already finished their pre-reqs. I also heard good things about that school. If the hours are difficult for you, I believe they also have a part-time schedule. Well thanks again!

Great! Are you able to get in for the next term?

Yeah, the school just sent me the application packet, that includes the things I need to get done before entering... like recommendations, a full physical, etc..etc.. so the next full-time schedule is this July, and I'm so excited about starting it. I've heard so many stories and advices of people on this site that say "do the lvn program first, it will help you a lot for the RN program." ;)

:) Wonderful!!! July is only around the corner...and their program is ony 12 months, right? You will be done before you know it!

Actually, the earliest program is in May for SSF campus. They're accepting applications now and are conducting interviews. You don't need to turn in your physical exam form yet -- just have to make sure it is completed before April 26 which is the orientation for the program.

I have already been accepted (verbally) by the Nursing director right after my interview. I will get an official acceptance letter in April.

Hope to see some of you guys in my class... =)

Pre-req for the program: Psychology, Physiology and Anatomy.

Hi, wow your program starts in May, that's just around the corner! I actually will be going to their Hayward site which their full-time schedule starts in July. I can't wait to get the letter of acceptance from them also. I started at NCP almost 5 years ago, and had finished all their pre-reqs with a passing grade of "A" (but back then they had Human Growth & Develop. along with Gen. Psych and A&p) and since they said their pre-reqs were only good for 5 years, I was happy to find out that I made the deadline before having to re-take those classes again.

So my question is, have you already taken the pre-req classes already and have you taken their entrance exam? how is their entrance exam (the NET and the HOBET) I purchased their study guide book did you? It would have been great to both be in the same class, but you're going to SSF and I'll be in Hayward. But, I'm hoping if we ever need help in the program, we can both find eachother here. ;) In the meantime I will be taking either my second part of A&P or micro in the summer at a community college. Good luck to you!!

Yes ma'am. I have already completed my entrance exam. I got 93% percentile. I'm such a show-off... hehehe...

Anyways, the exam is about 2hours -- pretty much basic stuff -- algebra, reading, writing and test taking skills... Oh and also they ask you what you would do if you're placed in some situations on the test also... pretty easy stuff, i'm sure you'll score high as well... =)

I finished all my prerequisites to RN in community college. I am actually hoping to get into RN program, but lottery let me down every semester (I applied to RN program about 2 years aka 4 semesters already -- and shot down). But I heard from Doris @ NCP, they're trying to get RN program and hopefully, it'll begin this year. And they said they'll give priority to their LVN graduates into RN program. So -- the prerequisities for RN program in NCP is to finish Anatomy, Physiology as well as Microbiology. Work 6 months as LVN and then -- you can apply for RN program. I can't wait to pay extra $$ to finish RN program @ NCP rather than wait around to get my # picked through lottery...

Good Luck on ur entrance exam and interview!! I'm sure you'll pass with flying colors.

Oh by the way, I didn't purchase study guide for the entrance exam. I just swinged it!
