Any NCLEX takers in VA?

Published

Hi everyone! I'm taking my NCLEX-PN on August 4th. I feel that im prepared but after reading some of the threads on here, Im feeling a little unsure. Also, I see that a lot of people on here are from different states, Im taking the test in Virginia. Anyone taking the test in VA? If so any tips?

To be honest it doesn't matter where you are as the exam is national. Plenty of hints and tips floating around especially in the random throwing thread

I agree with what Silverdragon said. Personally, I feel sure of myself one minute and the next minute I am so certain I will do badly. I know it's normal to have mixed feelings though. Keep going through your study material. NCLEX will ask questions to see if you will provide safe patient care nad have the basic knowledge to do that. There is NO WAY to know what will be covered, but know that they can question you about anything on any subject that was covered in school. They can cover any medication we went over in pharmacology. Rely on your knowledge base from school.

Good luck.:heartbeat

Does anyone know if its true that they give you a blank sheet of paper before the test to jot down anything?

They give you an erase board to jot down and figure your math, etc. Must be returned after test and not erased. At least they did whenI took my LPN boards.

yes, you get a wipe board

Why do they not want you to erase? is there something that shouldn't be on there?

They tend to wipe it clean themselves as you can not take anything into the room with you. Can't remember using mine at all

Not sure why, it's been a few years. But like Silverdragon said, they do the wiping. Might be somebody wrote answers at one time????? Who knows.

I purchased an EXAM CRAM book w/ CD. Should I purchase another book?
