Looking for a good step-up program. These are the parameters; I must be able to work AND go to school (gotta pay those bills! ) Any good schools in your area?
Regards,
Michael

Not sure if you've seen this yet, but here's a list of Texas BON-approved programs in the state:

It's a little confusing, but it appears to me that the LPN-to-RN transition programs are marked either "oT" or "LVN-RN Transition."

There are tons of schools here in Texas that do the LVN-ADN one of the things that sucks for a pre-req though is that you have to work as an LVN for a year which takes up alot of time. So I decided to go to school and get my RN through Excelsior/Chancellors. Its a self-paced program so that way you can work and study when it's convenient for you.

I went through the LVN-BSN program at Univ. of Texas @ Tyler. I think it is a good program, and I worked full time through the entire program.

Many thanks, Commuter. I am simply amazed at the number of schools in Texas that have these programs....

Hello, I'm planning on attending Trinity Valley Community College in Terrell, Tx, has anyone been through the ADN program there with any success? Or can someone tell me what to expect. I'm taking my basic starting next month, but I have to work full time up until clinical.. Any advise will help. Thanks
