Julia....is that you?
No, I'm beginning to think that hiring new grads is not in our cards until after the first of the year. It's terribly frustrating and depressing.
Check on Education for Life's website to see if they offer ACLS in your area.
Take care and lot of luck.
Thanks!!! I will check ed. for life.
Do i know you???!!!
I think so. PCC grad of 2009? Sat by you at pinning? Priscilla was our advisor?
Yup!!!!
Why no jobs??? I'm dying here. My husband is like "you need to get a job...."
I'm trying though....
Oh, I know!!! I'm in the same stinkin' boat. Yesterday, I had not one, but two, places that I interviewed with call and tell me that although they really liked me they went with more experience. Well, one at Prov went with a stinking Prov scholar.....argh. I'm still waiting to hear of another one, but certainly no longer counting on it.
My hunny and I had a slight argument over the whole thing yesterday......MEN.

Did you look at Salem Hospital? I know they have several openings, including some in critical care. The even says "Open to new grads." It's probably worth a look.

I too am waiting for a job!! thought nurses were in demand? Only if you have experience. I have been a paramedic for 20 years so ER and critical care aren't new to me. The apps. seem to ask only about RN experience so I have to answer honestly and put zero. I just applied with Mollen immunization clinics to get some "nursing" experience. Melissa, RN EMT-P

Salem Hospital has 30-40 Critical Care Internship Positions they are going to fill in January 2010. It is only open to BSN graduates though. Have you guys considered getting your RN-to-BSN? It will make you more competitive in this market.
