Hi everyone,
I currently work at a local clinic as an LPN that I thoroughly enjoy. I will be graduating from RN school in Dec. and know that my pay will not increase much from what I am currently receiving. I was just wondering if there were any other types of nursing jobs comparable to clinic work that I would get a decent pay raise at.
Thanks, Sue

Look for an actual RN position in a clinic, maybe not where you are now, or maybe not the pay of hospital, but definitely more than you are getting now. RN's are often hired for triage positions.

We have an all RN clinic. Look at major University hospitals in specialty clinics like transplant or cancer. While I appreciate MAs, I couldn't see a clinic functioning at this level without an RN staff.

I am also an LPN in a clinic. Most physician primaries are LPN, but we do employee many RNs in the GI/Endoscopy Center, Cardiology and Urgent Care. Also the managers are all RNs. I believe the RN wages are a bit under what you would make in a hospital, but you will enjoy all the benefits of a clinic job. :nuke:
