1. To much fluid
2.SIADH- Syndrome of Inappropriate Diurectic Hormone-reabsorption of fluid
3.Aldosterone-hormone thats essential to the body and it regulates all electrolytes
4.ADH-secreted by the Pituitary Gland regulates the amount of water being excreted by kidneys.

With SIADH-Do you have too much/too little ADH?
Too little maybe

Excessive ADH -- all that extra anti-diuretic action makes someone with SIADH retain fluids.
So the answer is to much ADH since your retaining fluid
LunahRN
Do I understand this correct since your retaining fluid does that mean you have too much ADH?

Flip it around, and you'll be right -- if you have too much ADH you will retain fluid. But retaining fluid does not necessarily mean you have too much ADH. Do you see what I mean? There are other reasons a person could retain fluids -- it's not always ADH.
That is correct!:typing
Also you can have too much ADH-which will result in SIADH (you will retain water) and you can have not enough ADH which will result in DI-which you will lose water.
LunahRN,
Yes, I know there's other reason people retain to much fluid..I understand that much but when you say flip it around what do you mean? Did I answer the question right as well meaning to much fluid if you have Excessive ADH. Thanks so much.
