Hello I am new to this board. I am a high risk anteprtum nurse that works at a level 3 tertiary center. I am just looking to network, tell stories. My unit is rather unique as most antepartum units I have heard of also do post partum/couplet we do not. We are also not labor and delivery nurses, unless they need one on one care we have them. Just want to know how many people are out there.

Personally I could not do just PP and mother/baby day in and out. I need variety. I like doing labor/delivery some days, gyn surgical others.....and YES PP too. But I like the variety of a floor that does all of these things. I am not bored easily that way.

No offense I had to laugh, We do about 700 or so a month. Our record was 747. I know we did over 8000 for the year how much over that I don't know.

Awwww..then you do how we do!! :chuckle Well, you do a few more than us...but we're at 600/month and rapidly growing still. We have a dedicated ante unit who also (when they have room) takes the hi risk pp pts. Otherwise, if they're full, the hi risk ante and pp stay with us in L&D.

Yes I am at desert. Only place I have ever worked as an RN.

I lived in Chandler and worked at St Joe's in Phoenix. I loooved Arizona. Miss it a lot. I am in Texas now - Dallas area.

I miss those beautiful mountains, sunsets and crisp air. I even miss the dry heat !!! :angryfire
