not to long i applied april of 2006, and the deadline was june 1, 2006. and i found out in june that i had an interview in july. and 2 wks after my interview i found out that i was accepted to the school. I think it's based on medical background , your grades in school and your grades on the net test.

hi, i was just got my letter of acceptance for HCC's LVN program this fall. I'm nervous. I was wondering is there anyone else who was accepted too. oh yeah i didn't know we had to do a background check online and is the orientation on july 21st or is that the last day to turn in medical information.

I haven't been on this site in a while but i got in for the fall too!!hooray for us!!, to answer your question: july 21st was the day you were supposed to have everything turned in. Background check, physical, CPR, Nurse pack, all that junk they had very vaguely put in the "acceptance letter" (though it looked more like a bill to me ). I don't have a credit card, so the online payment stuff was hard for me to do too.I hope you got your stuff in on time. I was waiting on that letter for 3 weeks, and it came over a weekend that I was in Dallas, when I finally got it I only had a week and a half to get all that junk done, including renewing my CPR. The doctor filled out my physical and drug test wrong and I had to drive across houston 3 times :madface: . That's two tanks of gas, at these prices = $60!

wow i can't believe there is another hcc lvn student i'm so happy i won't be in class alone. well i'm waiting for my test results to come in, i think they didn't turn it in. i'm so nervous i wonder what i should do before i begin. i was reading things like on anatomy but for some reason i can't keep it in my brain. oh yeah i need to get away from the tv also. has your financial aid email came in, or do we call up there. good luck with school.

I don't get financial aide I'm paying out of pocket, When you turned in your paperwork they told you that everything was Ok, right, or are they waiting on the drug screen results? And lol, I would kill to be in a class by myself are you kidding!!! (one on one w/the teachers lol.) I don't know what to do with myself before school starts either too. Working is helping, I'm coming up on a peak period at work and I will be working ten+ hours a day, so that should keep my mind off of stuff. I bought some school supplies at target (oh so cute and useful stuff and on sale) other than that I don't know what to do. eeeee....... I"im so nervous. But I will say one thing for sure, i'm enjoying the time that i have left to be all willy nilly with my time. (going to the beach/nightclubs)

ok now i'm scared, 1 semester. everything is turned in and good for school. i am really scared i really want to help people and i also don't want to let my family and my bf down. my parents are expecting me to be the nurse and i want to be one becuz my bf has an eye problem and he's going blind and i ant to take care of him. i'm just worried now if i can finish this school and i haven't started yet.

Don't worry! I didn't mean to scare you! There are teachers and tutors to help you. Just don't fall behind on your reading! Stop stressing, you are going to do great! I might see you in the Spring.
