Hello everybody, and first of all, thank you for your time! I am a kid just graduating high school and have decided that nursing is what i want to do. I was wondering if anybody knows of any good schools in the Bay Area for LVN, or any schools to stay away from. Any information would be extremely valuable to me. Once again, thank you!

I don't know what schools are good. In general, in the Bay Area, most of the LVN schools are private. The general consensus is that they are basically self-study programs. I'm attending Gurnick Academy in Concord. Several people on this board have said that NCP Vocational in Hayward is very good. Here is a link to CA's LVN schools: http://www.bvnpt.ca.gov/Education/Schools/VN_Schools.asp Good Luck!

i will be attending ncp-- full time lvn program (south san francisco campus) this november. the most impressive thing about this school is their nclex pass rate, for the last 2 quarters it has been 100%. my sister just graduated from here last year, so i know first hand it is totally worth it. just the price might be high to some people, though they do offer sallie mae loans. good luck to you!
