I read a book, I think it was called "How to Survive Nursing School (and maybe even love it)" or something along those lines. You can google it and I'm sure you will find it. Good luck!
I have that book too. It was pretty good. Honestly, before nursing school started I started doing a couple NCLEX questions a night out of my books and flash cards and the other reading that I already do out of pure interest about medicine, etc... but really I spent most of my time doing FUN reading because I wisely knew that there would not be time for that once school started. I enjoyed my summer as much as I possibly could. Vacationed, spent time outdoors, read the Twilight book series, read magazines, spent time with my family!
If you're taking Pharm, brush up on basic math. I bought Pharmacology Demystified or something like that I read that towards the end of summer and during my class and it was helpful. If you can get your hands on your texts early, try to do that and read those! Can't hurt. :)
Honestly, read anything NOT associated with nursing. You are going to be so sick of the texts and everything else you will want an escape.
I agree with this poster. There really is no need to get ahead of the game or read anything associated with nursing before you start your program. You will learn everything you need to know in the program. Just take it easy and relax.

I was looking for some good books to read before nursing school started just maybe to read some experiences about what it would be like before I started according to others that have went before me. Any suggestions would be really helpful!!!
