Any Dade Medical College Students???

Published

Is there any body out there that is enrolled and well into their RN program at Dade Medical College? I am interested in the program and need to verify info given by an admissions advisor.

I am currently being enrolled. I paid my registration fee of 50.00. I am waiting however, to hear from another school which I would prefer to attend simply because it is 20 thousand dollars cheaper and may accept some credits from my BA. However, if I do not get accepted at the preferred school, I'm going to enroll here. Why? well, I'm older and I just do not have the time to play the waiting list game at Kaiser or MDCC. Also, I passed the TEAS test on the first go around with these schools and Kaiser and MDCC have a much higher teas requirement which means another round of waiting and testing out. The bottom line is that for me an RN degree is very valuable and worthwhile. I am willing to pay the price despite what others may say. It's all how you look at it and what your life plan is. Attitude is everything. And, while others are waiting and competing to get into a program, I will be in and on my way. I would like to hear from existing students to this new program. Good luck!

does dade medical college have an lpn-rn bridge program?

It has not. I am in the program and work at the Medical Campus. I think I know what I am talking about. You can always call the Nursing Dept. at 305 237 4101 to verify.

You are either accepted to rejected. Period.

how is the program there i got rejected :(

I am sorry about that. You could always take the TEAS again if you can and try applying again.

It is a hard program, but it is doable. The professors genuinely care about their students and is well organized, contrary to what people say.

Well, good luck next time to you.

Smileey: I only know about the LPN to RN at DMC not the generic program. The school is very expensive. I would advise anyone to think long and hard about making such a large financial committment. However, if nursing is what you love, go for it!

Mylittlenursing: MDC does not have a waiting list. This is a common misconception. You are either accepted or you are not. If not then you reapply. I recently completed their program. You should check out the SON home page for the most accurate info. Also go and speak with an advisor who can accurately tell you what you need to do.

2byoungnurse: DMC has an LPN to RN a very close friend of mine is currently attending their program. It is extremely intense. You have to work very hard.

hi

I really want to enroll here but my high school dipolma is not accepted!!! FYI it is excepted at FIU and everywhere else but not here.

I am so upset. I am think its a racial issue because they have yet to provide me with written proof or a policy and never return my calls as I call them daily requesting proof because it s completley absurd!

well on a lighter note I have several coworkers how are about to sit for theyre boards and really loved this program and highly reccommend it!

I am currently in excelsior but havent gone very far
