Hi there! I was just accepted into UMass Amherst's ABSN program. I wanted to see if there are any current or former students willing to share their experience. I looked around here, and I couldn't find any.
I am wondering how the program went for you and how your experience was. I am waiting for a few other schools, but will probably put the deposit down if I don't hear from anywhere else by 3/1.
Thanks so much!

Hi I have a question, I received a random email from the program specialist that said “you will be receiving information by March 1st if not sooner” did you receive a message like that too before you got your acceptance letter?
Hi!
no, I didn’t. I received the acceptance letter before any other communication. On my letter, I have until 3/1 to make the deposit or not. So, I assume they are going in batches...
I hope you hear back soon!!

I also got accepted into the program, congrats on your acceptance.
My sister in law graduated from there a few years ago. She applied two times until she finally got in, so she was super pumped. She enjoyed the program but told me it is extremely intense. She was there from 8 am to 8 pm every single weekday and she had no social life one the weekends because it was so grueling. She also told me not to plan to work, my brother supported her financially through it all because she said it was nearly impossible.
When she graduated, she got offered a job at BMC for $100k starting and had no problem. UMass ABSN program is highly accredited and she loved the clinicals and professors ?

Congrats!
Thank you for this information! I assumed it would be a pretty intensive program, but 8am to 8pm? Wow!!
That is great to know that she loved the clinicals and professors! Thank you for sharing! ?

I'm interested in this program at UMass but is it true that the prereqs can only be taken at regionally accredited colleges? Meaning since I took them at a SUNY school it wouldn't count?
