I am planning a move to South Jersey probably to Burlington, Atlantic County any ideas on hospitals. I have no idea where to start my search. I was told I need to acquire employment first in order to have income verification.

There are alot of good hospitals in the SJ area...such as Cooper which has a great trauma center/ER, Our Lady of Lourdes also in Camden, Many in the more suburban areas....and of course Philadelphia is right across the bridge...many oppurtunities there. I had family as pts. at Cooper and friends as nurses and I hear nothing but good things. Good luck!

I've worked at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ as a temp RN and as a nursing instructor. They are understaffed in some areas, just like most hospitals. I didn't like med-surg but liked critical-care there. When Governor Corzine of NJ was injured last year in an auto accident, he was flown to Cooper instead of to a much closer hospital. Overall, it is a large university medical center teaching hospital with some really good units. I think it's a good place to start or continue your career.

If you're going to be in the part of Burlington County near Burlington City or that end of BC, check out Virtua, which has a lot of expansion plans:

If you're going to be moving to the part of BC nearer Atlantic County, you may want to look at Shore Memorial Hospital or the Atlanticare hospitals:

Burlington County is a huge county...
