Any CCAC Fall 2020 RN students?

Published

Hello, just wanted to know who all may be going into this Fall’s nursing program?

I’m beyond excited to get going; I’ve thought about doing this for an insanely long amount of time, and it’s finally all coming to fruition!

@Kcar0302 thanks! That did help.

hey, does anyone know the window in which we must take our drug test. I thought it was in June?

IDK if it varies by campus but it’s July 17-26. I already scheduled mines for the 17th because I’ll be out of town shortly after that

@Mommyof2princesses Thank you, I finally found it LOL. I was just freaking myself out.

Did anyone get their packet? I got mine, but it doesn’t have my health screening. When should we go for our physical?

I didn't get mine?. Hope it will come soon.

Hey there! They came via email. Def check your spam folders!

also, all of the health screenings, Background check forms are on a paid server called CastleBranch, they’re very directions in your packet on how to sign up ?

the earliest appointment I could get (bc of COVID) is July, so I’d at least call and schedule so you’re ahead of the game a bit there ??

Thank you for answering!

I have received the packet from CCAC email without CastleBranch code.

Are we supposed to get CastleBranch code by email? I am confused.

The code for castlebranch is on the first page of the email that was sent. I believe it was a code that has two letters and two numbers. It should be located right near the top.

Also, I wasn’t able to get my health screening done from a regular doctors office until July so I went to CVS minute clinic and was able to get everything I needed completed! So if you can’t get into your regular PCP don’t forget about MedExpress, urgent care etc.

Thank you! I understand now. I didn't thought that was the code ?

And thank you for your information. They are really helpful!

Are you guys getting your titers done first and then the physical? Or at the same time? I went to get my titers done already. Also, do we need to get the hep B vaccine? I’m confused about that. I went to get my titers and a hep B vaccination and they wouldn’t give me the shot because my titers may be positive....

I had my physical and titers in the same appointment. They don’t draw blood at the MinuteClinic so she printed out a script and I went to Quest and the results came back about two days later.

As far as Hep B I’m confused as well. I submitted my results which had my range and it says I have immunity. I submitted those results and it’s still ‘pending review’ I do not have the dates of when I received them so I’m hoping they accept it because I don’t want to start the series again if I’m already immune.

Yes I don’t understand why we need to get a hep B vaccination if the titer shows positive. I’ve tried getting ahold of one of the professors that deal with castle branch but she hasn’t emailed me back and it’s been over a week. I want to get my physical done at medexpress but IDK if they will do it if the titer section is not filled in.
