I just recieved a letter from the school today with the health letter in it. I found my immunization card and realized I need to get some shots. Scheduled that for next week. I'm excited, yet nervous about what is to come. Does anyone have any idea if you can borrow more from student loans to cover childcare and book costs?
----- emailed it as an attachment in mid June I believe it was. There were only about 25 students on the email list. I'm assuming they have divided us into groups. You may be in a different group if you didn't receive an email from her. I'm going to buy my uniforms this weekend so I was going to pick up some additional tools while I was there if others were doing the same. I guess I will just wait on the stethoscope etc. Thanks for your input:)

Oh! Thanks for the info.. I haven't received any email so hopefully I'm placed into a different group and not forgotten!
As far as the email, are they sending the email to your personal email address that you provided or is that through the MCC email address? I have paid for my tuition and for some reason mcc will not allow me to have a student portal email address..
Thanks for your fast respond!
The email was sent to my personal email that I provided when I applied. I received access to the web portal last week. I tried every day until it went through. There wasn't anything posted for the nursing courses when I checked yesterday. You may want to check with tech support about receiving access. It might be worth a shot.

Okay, thanks for the suggesstion! I will call them today!! Thanks
What is your schedule normally? What days and times do you go to school? I just got accepted into the Spring 2011 class.
Hi Hriddle! Congrats!
It depends on the professor that you'll have. There's two professors and we get split it to two groups.
With my schedule,
I go to school Monday - 9-12 pm
Tuesday/Wednesday 0700- 430 pm clinical and lab days
Thursday 9:00 - 12:00 pm
Schedule changes so much.. so you have to be flexible... Some professors allow you to go to clinical on Friday too, but just remember to be FLEXIBLE ON scheduling!! Exam days changes so much....
Thanks for the response. When did you find out what your schedule will be? Not until orientation or before? We are just trying to figure out my husbands work schedule because we have two little ones and don't want them to have too much time at a daycare. Just tryint to get an idea of what his schedule should be. Thanks!

I understand what you mean. My teacher send an email to everyone like 2 weeks before orientation regarding the syllabus and schedule. It depends on your teacher. But during orientation they will definitely give you the information regarding the schedule..
What I would suggest is finding out what teacher you have for block 1 (maybe a month before school start) and then email that teacher and see if they can give you an idea of the schedule.

Where did you find the "document entitled "What to Expect in Nursing School"? I was going to buy a stethoscope but since it wasn't listed anywhere that they sent out.. I decided to just wait.
I was also expecting the stethoscope to come with the nurse pack.. and it wasn't there so I was a little disappointed with that...
