Any Boswell Fall 2010 Block 1 students?
I understand what you mean. My teacher send an email to everyone like 2 weeks before orientation regarding the syllabus and schedule. It depends on your teacher. But during orientation they will definitely give you the information regarding the schedule.. What I would suggest is finding out what teacher you have for block 1 (maybe a month before school start) and then email that teacher and see if they can give you an idea of the schedule.

Any Boswell Fall 2010 Block 1 students?
Hi Hriddle! Congrats! It depends on the professor that you'll have. There's two professors and we get split it to two groups. With my schedule, I go to school Monday - 9-12 pm Tuesday/Wednesday 0700- 430 pm clinical and lab days Thursday 9:00 - 12:00 pm Schedule changes so much.. so you have to be flexible... Some professors allow you to go to clinical on Friday too, but just remember to be FLEXIBLE ON scheduling!! Exam days changes so much....

Any Boswell Fall 2010 Block 1 students?
Oh! Thanks for the info.. I haven't received any email so hopefully I'm placed into a different group and not forgotten! As far as the email, are they sending the email to your personal email address that you provided or is that through the MCC email address? I have paid for my tuition and for some reason mcc will not allow me to have a student portal email address.. Thanks for your fast respond!

Any Boswell Fall 2010 Block 1 students?
Where did you find the "document entitled "What to Expect in Nursing School"? I was going to buy a stethoscope but since it wasn't listed anywhere that they sent out.. I decided to just wait. I was also expecting the stethoscope to come with the nurse pack.. and it wasn't there so I was a little disappointed with that...

Any Boswell Fall 2010 Block 1 students?
Hi Ladylove89! I decided to wait until school starts to buy the PDA and the electronic version so I can talk to the professors to see if we really need it. I was reading somewhere here in all nurses and many were saying that you really don't need it or that it depends on the professors so I decided to hold on to that... As for the other books, I started buying the books online except the ones that were part of the Eslevier package, those ones I have reserved and will buy it as a complete package because I want the electronic version of the books. But for the rest of the books I started buying them on half.com, amazon, and wal-mart (I know! I didn't know walmart sells textbooks). I am saving a lot!!!

Any Boswell Fall 2010 Block 1 students?
Hi Everyone, For all of you that are attending MESA Boswell this fall 2010... did you guys start buying your books already? I found the list here: http://www.bannerhealth.com/NR/rdonlyres/389988A5-9A43-4F28-BCFA-074D8F1A9A9D/47348/Blk1NUR151BOOKLISTFall106810.pdf I'm just confuse because page 1 is a list of Required Textbook from unbound medicine which is an electronic version. I was reading in this forum how some sites prohibit the use of electronic gadget and I really don't know why we would need to buy it if we can't even use it....

Any Boswell Fall 2010 Block 1 students?
Hi, I got into the Boswell for the fall 2010 as well and I am soo nervous about my financial. I plan to get everything submitted by the end of May so that I can register and pay for the classes. And then I will talk to one of the advisors to see if I can get unsubsidized and subsidized loans to cover books, uniforms, and my apartments.. So in essence of your questions, I would suggest contacting an advisor. Also.. I don't have kids but in the letter it did mention about childcare drop off @ Banner Boswell, is that only for orientation? maybe you can ask them about that to see if you can use it?
