Any advice on surviving nursing school?

Published

Hello,

I am a BSN nursing student, and just finished the first semester.

I have 5 more semesters to go before I graduate, and everyone is telling me it's just going to get worse.

What should I expect in coming semesters? Any advice on surviving nursing school?

What did you do to deal with stress?

Any advice you can give me is very appreciative!!

How well did you understand the material?

Do you have a proper care plan book?

Are you buying recommended material as well as required and review books?

Each semester builds on the last, and the information becomes complex, but completely do able as long as you have the tight resources to understand the material.

Thank you for your reply! Yes, I try to buy recommended books! I'm glad to know I'm doing something right.

What you said make sense, I am going to review all my materials over the summer so I will be ready for fall semester.

I think one of my biggest challenges will be to manage my time since I still work full time.

Thank you!

Yes!

Thank you!

Nursing school was a cake-walk compared to the real world. I am pretty sure I partied at least half of my time in college.

Have fun in school now while you can. Take Kaplan for the NCLEX and you'll be golden. Rent all of the theory books in school and buy patho, pharm and med surg.

Okay, I'll try to have fun! lol

Thank you for advice on books! Yes, I rented some and bought some.

I have never heard of Kaplan, but I will research it. Thank you for your help!!
