i am a newly registered nurse here in the phil. and i just applied for the licensure exam in the new york state. it only requires the cvs program from the cgfns.. and i have jst recently completed all the necessary requirements..(they received all the necessary documents allready) i am jst waiting for the the approval..
my question is:
1. how long do you think(estimate) would it take for me to get approved? --just so i could start my review...
2. what other exams are usually required for new york? (if in case im planning to start working)..do i need to be a cgfns passer? ielts?
need advice.. any info would be of BIG help. :) thank you in advance.

Moved your thread to the International Forum since many other factors are in play for you, as well as additional requirements.
You do not mention if you have a visa already that will permit you to work in the US at this time; if not, please be aware that there is a retrogression in place and you are looking at five years plus for a chance at a visa if you do not already possess a green card.
You are going to need to pass the English exams if you are going to be applying for a visa to work here as well as to get the Visa Screen Certificate that is also a requirement.
Please take the time to do some reading on this forum as there is much in the way of information that you need to be aware of.
Best of luck to you.
p.s. edited the title since one cannot apply directly for the NCLEX exam, there is no application for the NCLEX exam.
thanks suzanne..
i allready have a visa.. that's why im wondering what other exams do i need to take besides the nclex?....

NY require a couple of online course which info can be found on their website
If you already have a green card, then you do not need the VSC and the English exams that are required for that. However, it does not mean that an employer will not ask to see proof of passing of either the IELTS or the TOEFL series, it is their right to ask for it if they want.
There are two mandatory courses that are required for NY and then can be found on the website for NY and can be completed on-line. This is all that is needed in terms of meeting the requirements for licensure there.
thank you very much! )
