Anxiety on NCLEX-RN results

Published

Sooo... I just took my NCLEX-RN for the 3rd time in Delaware on Friday 04/24/15. I am not sure if I passed or not. The last 2 times I took it, I got my results the very next day, in 24 hours however, it wasn't on a Friday it was during the week. How long am I supposed to wait. So I got nervous, lack of confidence and right after the test, I paid and registered another exam. I never tried the pearson vue trick because I always got my results quick but from what I saw, if the site took my money, I failed. Now I am really nervous. I hope I didn't fail AGAIN! Delaware sucks! because it doesn't have the quick results. How long does it take for the license # to change on the Board of Nursing if I did pass? I am so ready to find out.

Hi!

As what I've been told and through experience, as soon as Pearson Vue has calculated your score twice, they will transmit your results electronically to your Board of Nursing straight away.

I took the NCLEX-RN April 8, I finished at 2pm and when I checked my board's ( New Mexico) license and certificate look up around 1AM April 9, my name was already there. Maybe you can try checking around 12 to 24 hours after the time of your test.

Good luck!

So you already paid for a 4th test without knowing if you passed the 3rd test?

yea I did, that was dumb. lost money if I passed but I felt in between like I didn't pass.

Thank you. Ive been the stalking the BON page. Maybe because of the weekend it hasn't posted. It says pending.

If you did the PVT prior to 24 hours from completion of your exam, it's possible you paid because the score at that time was a 'fail'. Meaning that it takes TWO scorings of your exam for a final determination, and before your results can be sent to your BoN. If after two scorings it was still a fail...well....that's that. If it turns out that your QA review determined it to be a 'pass', you'd be out $200 but will have ultimately passed.

As it stands now, there's no way to be certain of anything; the likelihood is you did fail, but....won't know for sure until you either see your name with a license number next to it, or you get a notice in the mail with a CPR. I'd be surprised if any BoN updated websites over the weekend, as they are typically a M-F operation. Some States post results quite quickly, others only once or twice a week, or less.

Good luck.

^ what RNsRWee said.

You are supposed to wait after 24 hours and my state does not post licenses on weekends. I got my quick results on a weekend but my license wasn't posted until Monday and I took my exam Friday.

I just finished my exam. Anyone knows if I can check my result within 1 hour after the exam?

Don't do it.....wait at least 24 hrs....or just get quick results to be on the safe side if your state has quick results.

I'm so nervous because I did the same thing as DSvital did. :(

Hi did u find out you pass? I have the same issue with u. :/

Where do we look to see the status of our test on Pearson view? "Pending" or "delivery successful" It took my $200 when I did the PVT over 48 hours later...but I felt that I had passed! It turned off at 75 and my last 2 questions were a UAP delegation, and a patient priority question...and I wasn't lost during the exam...lots of SATA too. I haven't gotten bad or good news, so hoping I'm one that lost out on $200 due to a glitch but past.
