Starting a new 2014 thread for AVC hopefuls. Seems on the older thread many of them have started or moved on..

I applied June '13 and was hopeful for this fall, but came just shy. Now I am number 3 on the wait list for Spring '15... Still planning on getting my physical and shots, CPR certs, etc done in case anyone defers or backs out.

Anyone else out there in for this fall, still waiting or also starting in spring? Love to hear from everyone!

I was taken off of the waitlist, after I applied and passed the TEAS. With the new changes, I was taken off and was told to retake Statistics :(

Did you end up getting Statistics again? I didn't get into Fall so I'm still waiting for Spring with you lol

Yes I just took my final today. As soon as grades come out Im going to resubmit it.

I called today and found out I'm number 73 based on order, but I was informed scoring system could bring me up (or down) and letters come out in November. I hope to start this spring though

I haven't asked recently but I asked back in May & I'm #48.. The waiting really sucks, it'll be a year for me next month. When did you apply?

Well stay patient, you never know you could be put up front cuz ode point system & start in the spring. I know I few ppl that only waited a semester cuz of the point system & they're starting this fall.

i just got accepted to AVC nursing program for Spring 2016. I am so confused about the vaccines we need. Many of them say they must be no older than 5 years, so do we need to get them again if we got them as a child?

I used to live in Nevada before I came out here and I was going to have my immunization records sent to me but all mine were pretty much as a child as well. I'm going to get everything redone to be on the safe side.
