I currently have been studying for the nclex by just doing kaplan as in doing the qbank and the qtrainer. I am scheduled for my nclex in a week and have been stressing about because of my scores. I haven't been really studying the content besides the content thats included in the rationales. Should i reschedule at this point?
qt 1: 53
qt 2: 49
qt 3: 50
qt 4: 54
qt 5: 54
and my q-banks are an avg of 54% with 294 questions left.

Don't worry about your scores. Just do as many questions as you can and understand all your rationales. I took NCLEX-RN on Wed, and I mostly just did questions as well. Passed with 85 questions!!! Good Luck to you!!

I'm in the same boat as you. I take mine this week...., eek. I've just been studying Kaplan questions, and an ATI book that I like the way is formatted.
QT 6 / 7 trainers are harder, and 7 took so long I still have a headache from it.
I too, am freaking out about my scores. My Qbank is 61% right now, with about 150q to go. It will probably stay the same.
I can't really tell from your scores, you should probably do QT 6/7 to see how your doing. I know my scores went from mid 50s to constant 60s/70s towards the end.
Good luck!
tinaj191: did you just focus on kaplan questions or did you do other questions?

Are you learning the material? That will determine your ability to pass, not your scores on predictor tests. Predictor tests have been known to go both ways, they are not a reliable measure of your preparedness.
i'm learning the material that pertains to the practice questions but have not sought additional material that i haven't encountered in questions.

Don't reschedule. Just go for it. If you fail then try try again! Took me 4 times to pass. Good luck

I did Kaplan Qbank, and my avg. score was 55. I actually moved my test date up four days, and passed. My instructors have said that being in the 50s-60s range is actually good. Make sure you remediate the ?s you missed, and use the strategies that they teach you in the videos in your Kaplan account.
Good luck!!!

We have similar scores and I will be taking mine this week! The QT7 was so long I was so close to giving up at the end! I'm afraid the same thing would happen with NCLEX and I will just walk out at 200 questions and call it a day. My instructor advised to take QT 6 and 7 as if they were the actual NCLEX (i.e. 15-minute breaks only, no looking up stuff). I got a 59.5% in QT6 and a 59.25% in QT7, a little short of the supposedly passing score of 60. So far, I have answered 100% of the Qbank questions with an average of 54% which isn't so bad for me since I answered some questions while I was half-asleep (hehe).
I'll be praying for you and for all other NCLEX test takers out there.
