The last 3 days I worked. And i just found out about this interview right before that. I work in medicine now, but really feel like I want to be an RNFA long term. I've been thinking about this for a long time now, what my long term goals are. I don't want to say generic things like I love how the body works, would like to see immediate solution to pts problems etc. any advice would be great.
My manager like it when people say: You like being there for your patient when they are at their most vulnerable, you take advocating for your patient during that time seriously, you like the technological part of nursing and learning new techniques and procedures. You love the fast paced environment and working as part of a team.
Don't focus on the doctor portion of the surgery but on the nurse's role and duties when answering questions. When nurses/students are shadowing they always seem to forget about the nurse and become engrossed in the procedure.
Now the wait the dreadful wait... It's not like I'm checking my email q5min and spazzing every time my phone rings.. Then go into a pitiful 1min pouty fit every time it's not HR calling to offer me a job! Who me?? Nah..[/quote']Good luck! May just be the change you need :) and if not it wasn't meant to be anyway.
