After the TEAS V, orientation, an finally an interview, I've been notified I'm accepted into the Mid-America Practical Nursing Program of 2012-2013! Like others on here I'm excited, nervous, and definitely intimidated but I feel so blessed to have been given this opportunity. I'm not sure how many people applied to each of your programs but there were approx. 100 applicants at MATech and only 27ish chosen.
It's going to be an intense 10 months but I definitely look forward to it. Anyone else out there going to MATech this fall?
I don't think a lot took it as serious as they should have so instead of taking the blame they blamed the school & some are going elsewhere & some didn't pass the dosage & calc hesi & that's something you had to pass to go forward
I think that's to bad, because schools only take so many students and if your not going to take it serious don't apply. Let someone who really wants to be a nurse take that spot. I don't start until October, but I was fortunate enough to get excepted and understand its not gonna be easy. But I really want it, and that's the kind if determination people need to have in this profession. If not give your seat up to someone who does, because now they have to wait.

I def agree with you because there are ppl who want this bad. But trust me I am very glad to be starting this. I think the time is going to fly by for me because that's how much I lob nursing. I'm a current CNA at the moment.
