Anatomy vs Chemistry OR Anatomy & Physiology?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Anyone taken Anatomy & Chem together? or Anatomy & Physiology ?? I just need my sciences to get into a nursing program.. apparently i went backwards and finished my general ed first -_- .. anyways .. would you recommend taking Anatomy & Chem together or Anatomy and Physio? Thanks =)

I'm taking Anatomy and Chemistry now and it's been fine. I'm taking micro and physio next semester which should be a greater challenge...

I forgot to add, for our school anatomy and chem are prereques for physio.

My school also has anatomy and chemistry as a prereq for physio. I took micro and anatomy at the same time and it wasn't very difficult. Anatomy itself is a challenging class, but having micro at the same time didn't make it less or more difficult. If I had the option you do I would go with anatomy and physio. My school teaches anatomy and physio separately, but I think it would have been helpful to learn the anatomy and physiology of the same system at the same time.

Thanks for your comments, i just registered for Anatomy, Chemistry and Stats.. and just like you guys mentioned Chemistry & Anatomy is a pre req for physiology. A lot of the pre nursing students here are recommending to take Anatomy and Physiology separately (that's if i want to get high grades for both classes. My college also offers those two classes separately. I'm just going back and forth if i should do Chemistry and Anatomy or Anatomy and Physiology... i just added those two classes along with stats before the classes get full.. i know i still have till mid jan early feb to drop them with full refund and without a "w" just in case one or the other doesn't work out

i did speak to my counselor and he strongly recommends doing chem and stats first :/ and anatomy and physio.. he did mention that it would be best to talk to one of the nursing councelor and see what she recommends ...

i just want to finish my pre reqs asap.. i only have chem, anatomy, physio and micro.. so i can apply to the nursing program

I would agree with your advisor and take Chem before Anatomy 1. Personally, it helped me tremendously in understanding some of the chapters covered. My Anatomy class did a lightning quick review of Chem and I saw some students struggle because they didn't have any prior knowledge of Chem.

I'm taking both A&P I (my school has them together in 1 class) and Chemistry this semester. I have an A in both classes, so it is doable to take them at the same time but do what you're comfortable with.
