Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

The local university where I live offers A&P online only! Can you believe that? They don't even offer it on campus. So now I am forced to have to drive a long distance to take a class in person.

Has anyone else ran into this obstacle?

Well, I live in a rural area and love that I CAN take things online because the that's only way I can take it without driving a long distance.

no i haven't and i think that is insane! is this a school that mostly has classes online?

Yeah, I love the OPTION of being able to take online classes also but since this is a University in the middle of a medium sized city, I shouldn't be FORCED to take online classes. It's not a deal breaker. I was just really surprised when I found out. Especially with a class as intense as A&P.

What this means is that I will probably end up taken them from a community college which is a fraction of the cost. So keeping the glass half full, it just makes my decision easier to take the online classes from the comm college. =)

I also have to take a Communications 101 class and I will probably take English 101 over (to get gpa up as high as possible) since I got a C in it years and years ago as an 19yr old freshman. I think these two classes would be good candidates to take at the same time online, to test the waters (of online classes). Alright...sorry for rambling.

If this uni is more lieral arts than science it isn;t really a surprise, TOm. Labs are expensive, and science teachers hard to procure.

I did find out that there are in person classes offered at the Military base across town, so I have that option. Kind of a bummer though because I only live 2 blocks from the main campus.

Those of you coming back for a second degree, do you recommend retaking classes (like English 101, Chemistry 101 or College Algebra for example) that you got a 'C' during your previous degree?
