Anatomy Help!

Published

Okay guys I start my third semester of college tomorrow, and my first class is anatomy. I just need some advice for passing anatomy with a high grade "shooting for an A". Also let me know what you guys did to be successful in the class.

Anatomy felt like a ton of memorization and just repeatedly going over body parts/words of the different body systems. It felt a bit daunting at the start, but once you have a general plan on how the syllabus is being played out, you can start making use of flash cards and matching problems. Make your own. I feel that writing down the words makes a difference rather than reading from a textbook or on a website.

Open lab is the best. The models we used in lab were the same ones we used in lab practicals, so my partner and I would go into open lab and find everything we needed to know and label those parts and study them. It made identifying parts during practicals easy and basically a great grade. For anything in a microscope, get your phone and take pictures through the eye pieces and label your own pictures :) good luck

I find quizlet to be especially helpful. My anatomy professor was very fond of using mnemonics to help us understand pathways and combinations of chemicals/parts/etc.

Anatomy is more memorization. Physiology is easier to me visually.
