Hi everyone! Quick post- just wanted to give back to the community...when I was looking into various FNP programs that both fit my budget and had a challenging curriculum, American Sentinel was one of the schools that I looked into. Unfortunately, although I could find decent information regarding their RN-BSN program, there wasn't much about their FNP program.

It took me months of speaking with them, going through the catalog and finally occurring to me to look at the profiles of NPs on LinkedIn that graduated from American Sentinel to make a final decision. So, even though I don't start my first class until February 17th, I thought I'd just throw this out there in case anyone has questions later on as I progress through the program?

Hi, I will start my FNP in March, I did not know about the program in this university because I read bad reviews, but currently I am excited to study in Post university for your reviews here. I ask many NP here in my hospital and all them agree about our own study make a difference not the university, just they guide us. Thank you @ChristineS2004 I would love to keep in touch with you and share all your experience with NP Program.

Post University/ASU offers an educational loan that I found really helpful. You do have to make monthly payments during the program—around $400 a month—but the best part is that it's 0% interest, and it never accrues any interest. Seriously, no interest ever, which makes it way more manageable.

Hello, I'm just wondering  how is Post University PMHNP program is? Is the APEA pass or fail? Do they have a list of previously used preceptors or site list of affiliation agreements? How are the exams? Is there a Facebook Group? Couldn't find one. Also, I've been a member of AllNurses since like 2007 I had to start a new account because I couldn't make my login.

How do you make a new post? I'm looking at Post University formally American sentinel University for psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Is there a Facebook group? How is  the exams in the APEA test? Is it pass or fail?  Are there a video required recordings that you have to do to pass the classes?  One university I was at had to do videos for all body systems and to YouTube weekly for Health Assessment ? And then my video that I didn't do required stuff but actually did we had to build more family members and even my family member I used for the video knew I did it so I'm looking making the switch from United States University to Post University. Looking to start September 2025! Also do they  m give you a list of current Preceptors or sites  They have affiliation agreement with? I have tired Herzing University and United States University and make it to clincals in both the. Couldn't find preceptors and they want me to sit out for 10 months at Herzing and months at United States University. Just looking for a school that I can complete my nurse practitioner at. And where the school is some what helpful.

Hi I'm not in NP Program but wanting to do FNP . I'm not even sure I'm commenting correctly ? Because I've asked some questions and no one has answered Me LOL . I don't know anyone who has attended Post . I'm only interested because I'm part of an organization that has affiliation with Post so I would get a discount . Plus tuition seems cheap . I called Friday and then again yesterday  to get info and I have to leave a messg . Finally , today someone texted me close to 4pm if I wanted info via text or call . By the time I saw text she was already gone and I received an auto reply via text. Very weird because schools are eager to talk to prospective students . Anyways wanted to please know your experience . Thanks .

Hi.

I am currently enrolled at Post and in Advanced Patho.-FNP. I have zero complaints so far. Whenever I reach out to my advisor or professor I always get a timely response.

@A I  Hi . Thanks for your reply !!
do you have to go in person at all for Health Assessment or any other class ? Or some schools have immersion days that one has to attend .

are the classes online live or are they recorded ?

So far do you feel program is manageable ? I work full time but I don't know if I ll be able to work full time when it comes to clinicals

also I read that it's about 20k total ? Is this what you were told

thanks again for your time . Really means a lot to Me because once again I don't know anyone who goes there and I've never heard of this university before .

Hello @SunshinePMHNP2026 I am currently enrolled into the FNP Program. I'm in my second class advanced pharmacology, all good, no complaints. It is all online. I don't have any information in regards to mental health program, and my next class is advanced physical assessment, I don't know what is expected in terms of videos. The 3 ps exam is a pass or no pass grade. I would suggest you make an appointment to obtain all the information you seek in regards to your program. So far my student advisor has been very responsive, everyone at post has. I was skeptical because I couldn't find any forums, and I did find some Facebook groups but were not very helpful as they were heavily indented with spam users. I hope this helps. Also like many online schools you have to find your own preceptor. The work is strictly all online, for those asking. The school is relatively cheap, @A I I cannot confirm the price because I get a discount through my employer.
