Hey, I have a friend who is doing a 16 week classes, (2) at a time. She says is rough. You do need books and it's separate, my work is paying for mine. But I just take it one day a time. I don't have preceptors yet. I'm only focusing on school. I'm on week 6 of advanced PA, they offer for you to test for the entry 3 ps exam on week 7 of your third class. But for me, there's no way. I have test anxiety so I chose to skip a term and take the test instead in December. Cause if you don't pass the test, you have to take another prep class to basically try to pass again. I rather just focus on a study for the test and move on. My next class will be in January after this class and the 3 p exam.

@ShayLove hey girl, I believe you asked this question before, I don't have kids, I work ft, I have a partner who helps me w cooking and cleaning, caring for our dog. I feel like the school it's a lot of work, all I do on my days off is study. So if you have small children, like this person relayed her experience w children. Unless you have an immense amount of support caring for your kids, I don't see how you can give them attention and give yourself the time to learn. I don't have kids, so I really can't relate. But this is my experience w the support that I have. It's manageable for me. I hope this gives you an insight. But also, don't let this be a decision. I'm sure you could do 1 class and feel the flow and see if you can do it. For me also, since my employer is paying for the program, I need an 83% to pass on the classes, nothing lower. That part is stressful too with every class, because, life happens and they are 8 weeks long as you know. but if you have the support, it's worth a try. Also, you can always wait for your kids to be a little older and not need so much of your love and attention.

Hey, yeah I know I was the same, skeptical. I started with Patho, I'm in pharm, and next is physical assessment. With any accelerated online program, you get out what you put in. So you really have to be all in, for me so far pharmacology is tough, but I'm half way through it, just take it one day a time. I know some people take the 3 ps in different order. Good luck! I'm in my second class, it's pretty standard for 8 week courses in an accelerated program. That's how I got my BSN. And yes yes this school does it different, they do the 3ps first then the 3 p exam. If you pass, then you're able to enroll into the actual NP Program. It's a way to weed out the weak, I think because they offer such big discounts.

Hello @SunshinePMHNP2026 I am currently enrolled into the FNP Program. I'm in my second class advanced pharmacology, all good, no complaints. It is all online. I don't have any information in regards to mental health program, and my next class is advanced physical assessment, I don't know what is expected in terms of videos. The 3 ps exam is a pass or no pass grade. I would suggest you make an appointment to obtain all the information you seek in regards to your program. So far my student advisor has been very responsive, everyone at post has. I was skeptical because I couldn't find any forums, and I did find some Facebook groups but were not very helpful as they were heavily indented with spam users. I hope this helps. Also like many online schools you have to find your own preceptor. The work is strictly all online, for those asking. The school is relatively cheap, @A I I cannot confirm the price because I get a discount through my employer.

Hello all, I've I'm so glad I've found this forum. I wanted to go to POST but wasn't finding any reviews online. I'm so glad I found you all, and after reading the reviews especially from Christine I'm sold! I'm gonna reach out to my advisor and enroll hopefully in April 2025! I work at KP and are using the Ben Hudnall trust fund. I didn't know about taking a semester off to qualify to have it paid 100%. I wonder if I should contact POST about it. Does any othe socal kp employed know ? Thank you!
