American River College Fall 2013 Applicant Pool

I haven't been to any of the Multicriteria meetings on the new application process for American River College but I have a question:

If ARC is selecting students from the top 30% of applicants and automatically giving top 30% spots to those who have applied 5 or more times, does this mean that the top 30% will be made primarily of those who have applied 5 or more times?

Does it mean that you need an even higher score to be put in the top 30%/one is less likely to get a spot in the top 30% based on the multicriteria score? Or is it the top 30% of the multicriteria scores AND 5+ time applicants are included in the selection pool?

I hope some of this makes at least a little sense :)

Hi, This is my first Post, but my 6-7-8x applying. Its a bit confusing how that is possible but just to explain, I applied the first time Eight semesters ago with a paper application. It was recieved and I was qualified! yeah! Then AR switched to a computerized selection and I did not return the cover page. oops disqualified. I had to start over. 3rd time applying I did it right and was again qualified! yeah. Here we are now and this is my 6x in a row as qualified, 7th time as qualified and 8x applying. Im praying I did everything right to remain qualified but this waiting and checking is killing me!

Once everyone gets qualified, they will do the selection...I think the ones who get picked find out first, so I am thinking the lucky ones might know something next week.... Fingers crossed!!!!

Is anyone going to the SCC info meeting on the 29th? I wish we could call in haha... I'm not gonna go, but I'm very curious about what the deal is for the Extended Campus program...
