I haven't been to any of the Multicriteria meetings on the new application process for American River College but I have a question:
If ARC is selecting students from the top 30% of applicants and automatically giving top 30% spots to those who have applied 5 or more times, does this mean that the top 30% will be made primarily of those who have applied 5 or more times?
Does it mean that you need an even higher score to be put in the top 30%/one is less likely to get a spot in the top 30% based on the multicriteria score? Or is it the top 30% of the multicriteria scores AND 5+ time applicants are included in the selection pool?
I hope some of this makes at least a little sense :)
Dang! And I can't imagine too many mailed in like me if those aren't on the sign-in...
I am pretty sure they sign you in when they receive it via mail. The lady told me that last semester when I asked because I wanted an accurate count of the apps :))))
I got a good feeling about things this time!!!!!

I know! That's gotta free up that top 30% some!
Now about changing my app status...
Haha I'm afraid to... I figure I'll give them a week or two... They probably did the easy ones first.
Oh no! Well rumor has it, if you get in, you find out before all the "rejection" notices do. Last semester a girl I knew who got in found out in week three. I got my rejection at the end of week four.
I actually think they pencil in the mailed envelopes too once they come into the office, I seen them doing it at sac city before once when I dropped mine off there. Their list was about the same if not less.
Didn't see the other replies lol, ya I'm not sure if my app will be qualified too. I passed my teas but there are some issues with that. I'm not sure how firm they are on their rule. I remain hopeful, but anxious lol. It would suck to be qualified 4 semesters and then not
