American River College (ARC) ADN Spring 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi everyone! My name is Christine. I have not found any post yet about the incoming application period for American River College ADN/ RN Program, so I decided to start one.

This is my first time applying at this school.

How about you guys? Is it your first time, as well? If not, how many times have you applied already?

I am going to apply next year at SCC and ARC for the second time. I got rejected at SCC on my first try. Hopefully this year or 2019 will be the year for me and all of us! :)

I mailed mine yesterday but I'm not sure how I'll know my number. Do they update that in your online app too or will it just change to "application received"?

When you submit your app in person, you'll have to sign in and it's numbered. It gives us a little idea how many people have applied already, except the mailed applications.

For ARC, status will changed to received, then qualified, then accepted í ½í¹‚

I submitted my application last week, Tuesday or Wednesday I believe (9/4 or 9/5) and I was #8. And yes, ARC is good about updating the status of your applications. They take a bit longer to update to "qualified" if it's your first time applying, from experience.

To to answer my earlier question in case anyone else was wondering: I spoke to a counselor and they told me when reapplying you don't need to resubmit transcripts, only the muticritea sheet and the checklist. However, If an application period is slipped, they destroy your application so you'd need to resubmit all those things if that was the case.

Ohh I see! Hopefully it changes to qualified and accepted!

That's a low number, I thought there would be more people applying. Maybe there will be more towards the end of the period? There are still two weeks left...

A lot of people like to wait until the last minute. I will be one of those because Sac State is taking forever to process my official transcript.

It must be peak season for transcripts. At my school (CCSF), they specifically say that August/September can take longer. í ¾í´£

Hello everybody. I submitted my packet today, and I am the 84th applicant! God Bless us all.

I went today and I was 90-something 11 more days to apply. Last semester I went the very last day at noon and I was 250 or something like that.

Also for those who apply at night I'm pretty sure Eservices isn't available after 11 or 1130pm till like 7 am for maintenance.

I applied to delta as well. I probably have enough points to get in, but I am only interested in the fast track program. Being done in 18 months sounds nice... If I have to drive to Stockton every day I don't want to do it for 2 years.

Good luck everybody.

Applying for my 2nd time at ARC, next year will be applying to ARC SCC and Sierra

Will turn in my packet later this week in person to check out the list, fall are normally less people that apply, they took down their stats not sure why

I noticed that they took it down as well. I was curious to see the stats since they changed their criteria.

I read a thread from a couple of years ago that repeat applicants used to "weight more" I'm guessing your name was thrown in extra times... has anyone heard of this? was this true? is it still happening? I really wish they were more open with this whole process...
