I'm currently doing the 100 questions a day per suzanne study guide. Suzanne you HIGHLY recommend going over the rationales, which I do. One thing you suggest is going over the rationales for the incorrect answers as well. How do you check those? Each time I hit the incorrect answer it still gives me the same rationale for the correct answer. Am I doing something wrong. I'll tried all modes still the same. I'm currently using Saunder's 3rd edition comprehensive review RN.......YOu guys are the best hope I pass this second time around . LOving Saunders.

You are not necessarily doing anything wrong on the Saunders CD. The rationale for each question is always going to be the same regardless of whether you got it correct or incorrect.
Just read each rationale carefully, as it helps you understand the reasoning behind each answer. That's what is important.

It's true that the rationale won't change. If you see when u read the rationale in some of the questions they tell u why option 1 is correct, why option 2, 3 & 4 weren't correct. I am also doing Suzanne Saunders 100 qts per day (3rd ed). Some questions they did not really explain why some werent correct but u urself will know why its not the correct answer. Some are really obvious why it is not the correct answer. Just read the rationale, read why ur answer is correct, or why it is not........
Thank you for helping me!

2005grad,
Besides reading rationale, don't forget to read the test taking strategy which is an icon with a lightbulb. I found that test taking strategy is very helpful, especially for common sense question. Sometimes, thought I know nothing about the question, for example the medication name and its purpose, I was able to pick the correct answer by using proper test taking strategy.:)

oh and when I don't understand the rationale or it is not as in depth I refer back to the book to look it up and understand why it was right or wrong. Hope that helps.

forgive my ignorance but what does that mean " icon w/ a light bulb"
Also is the strategy to do 100 questions per day in the book or on the cd? Sorry if this dumb but I am starting to formulate my study plan and so far I don't realy know anything!:imbar
thanks
Pasero,
After answering a question in a study mode on the CD accompanied with Saunder comprehensive review for the nclex rn book, an icon with a lightbulb becomes visible. Clicking that icon will show the test taking strategy for the answer.
100 questions / day is part of Suzanne's study plan. You'll need to private email her to get the study plan. Look at her post in the sticky section for further detail.
