I am in the middle of taking my pre-reqs right now. I want to apply for the LPN program but it seems like the CC I am at every single person is going there for nursing. It just stresses me out so bad. I get a headache thinking about it. I am not sure If I should talk to my adviser about the chances of me getting accepted or how many people get accepted for the program for each semester. Maybe I should use this anxiety as my drive to study and work hard.
I am in the same boat. I am 25 about to be 26 and am applying to 2 LVN programs and 1 ADN program. I PRAY I get in. I know I can do it, but my GPA isn't the best since I used to never take school seriously until I FINALLY figured out what I wanted to be... A NURSE :)
Absolutely, but I just have to keep my head clear and "in the game" so to speak. I think the best thing to do is to have a back up plan. I am applying for the Fall 2013, my school only starts every Fall and if you don't make it in you have to wait and apply for the following year. IF I don't get in then I will take my CNA, which I am doing this semester, and work as a CNA to gain more experience. So, like I said, just breath and have a back up plan!
This is my exact plan. I am 40 years old, so I really get a little scared as far as time is concerned. Here is what I tell myself everyday when I wake up "This is your dream, and you are doing everything possible to follow it" ,and then I have to leave it up to the man upstairs. I am trying very hard to get A's in all my classes. I am using every available tool that the college gives me. I really hope you get your acceptance letter soon.
You'll be amazed at the number of people in class that do not apply to nursing schools because they change their minds about careers, have to work full-time, families, etc. Only four of my fellow pre-req classmates have made to my nursing school. I was fortunate to get into the one and only program I applied to.

Good luck! I hope you get your acceptance!
I still have 2 months, I could not imagine how nervous you are being at the time of letters being mailed!
