Am I the only one?

A&P really kicks my butt... I normally can focus and study hard enough to get a b or c on my tests but the 3rd week into A&P2 I am failing.... Its the heart chapter that really has me at my witts end... I have tried videos, songs, and reading over and over again... I know I can still pass this class with at least a 75% and I am ok with that... But am I the only Nursing student who has trouble with A&P??? any and ALL advice is much appreciated!!!!!!

A&P is easy but if you are taking it while in nursing school I can see why one would struggle. I think its best to get classes like this done before entering the nursing program because you can focus more on memorizing and understanding the content so you can pass

I know a lot of people in my university struggle with those classes mainly because we have one teacher for each subject, which both speak little English. -__-

Uhm there was an interactive website I used during anatomy online that was free and you can test yourself with where the parts are of the heart, but I don't believe it helps with how the body works..

I believed that site helped a lot, but then again we also had to label a cadaver.

DRAW!!!

I found that out after countless hours of trying to memorise, youtube videos, 5 different textbooks... that the best way to remeber a process or function is to draw it out 6 times or so... and then you can draw it next to a test question - and POOF! easy peesy... Later on the knowledge clicks when you do clinicals and so on... but if it's just about getting a good grade on a test, then this is what i recommend.

I second the drawing suggestion. Also I recommend notecards. It is a very time consuming course but so much of nursing will come back to A&P in one way or another.

coloring book for anatomy and i totally have felt your pain back when i took a&p! you can do it!!

Nobody watched my video ??? :(

pick yourself up off the floor, brother. the heart and associated is easy compared to the endocrine and autonomic systems.
