If you are crazy then I am crazy too. I am taking A&P 1 and Descriptive Chemistry this semester along with Wellness and Human Growth & Development. Best of luck to you. It will be hard, but worth it in the end.
LOL Thanks. I just don't want to waste time, if I am not able to apply for fall 09 program I will have to wait until spring 2010 program! I don't have enough classes to take to wait! LOL
No, you are not crazy :)
Maybe I am not taking A&P this quarter but I am going to have Biology, Chemistry and CNA class. I still have problems with English (my second language). When I was looking trough books I got scared. So many new words for me! But...I will fight to the end to get A's. So if I can do it you can do it too :)
School is never a waste of time!
I don't mean "waste" time there learning, I just feel that I have been in school for 7 years and have yet to complete the degree I was there for, in the first place. I am ready to move on and pursue my career as a nurse.
I think you'd be fine taking them at the same time. Are you taking them both at the community college or the university?Sorry about your mom losing her job.
I am taking them at a university, Wright State. Thanks, my mom has been there for a while and she will be eligible for the early retirement program, but at 6 month shy of 50 she still needs more income to pad her for when she actually retires. I just finished my first of 4 quarters of LPN school when GM announced the closing, so I hadn't invested a lot of time, but I was still sad to drop out. Oh well, everything is for a reason. WSU will give me the flexibility to schedule classes when my older 2 are in school then I only have to worry about the baby. Plus, I won't have to be gone 5 nights a week in the beginning.
Thanks for the replies. I am hoping to pull my GPA up so I'm hoping I can get high B's or A's for a couple of quarters.
The A&P you've already taken is likely the same one you need for the BSN. I'd check to see if it was acceptable.
The A&P I took would transfer but it's been to long. Thanks though.
The reason why I was wondering is because I believe Sinclair's chemistry is at a slower pace. I moved away from Dayton about 5 months ago, and I was very sad to hear of GM's closing. I hope everything works out for you at Wright State.
Yeah I took Chem 120 at sinclair and LOVED my professor, but the reason I'm not doing the rest of my pre-req's there is that WSU looks at students who have completed pre-req's there first. They like you to do 40+ credit hours with them, the students who complete pre-req's there are looked at first from what the paperwork says. Thanks again. I know it's so sad to think that soon moraine is going to be a ghost town, unless toyota or something comes in that plant.

A little background, I am on the 12 plan for a year to degree! LOL
I was in a community college, the wait list was awful, I finished 2 other programs waiting to get into the RN program. Then I started LPN school, but after GM announcing the closing of my mom's plant, she can no longer watch my 3 kids so I can go to evening classes.
So here is my dilemma, I only have 6 classes before I can apply to the BSN program at a local college. I can't go during the fall because the LPN school I was attending took my financial aid and by the time they had sent it back all the classes I needed were full (seeing as how classes begin in like 2 weeks). So In the winter I am going to have to take organic chem and A&P1. I have taken a few A&P's in various programs, 1 in the RN program at the community college, a couple in medics class, 1 in MA classes and 1 in LPN school. I did well in all of them.
So my question is am I committing suicide by taking these classes together? I have to have 6 classes done by June 15th, 2009 to apply to the BSN program for the fall.
