OMG! Thanks for posting!:) If you have good grades in you anp 1 and micro I'm sure you will still be fine! I have taken the hep b series like years ago.. Gotta get a titers done I guess.. But if for some reason we don't get in the first time I'm applying for the spring.. But I have faith and hope we will get in!! Good luck!! What courses u taking this semester? I think our courses will have more weight as far as points go.. Our gpa that will be evaluated will only be our pre reqs and other academics pertaining to the program so hopefully that will help too

Thanks for the positivity!! Yes, I too will apply to spring if I don't get in in the fall. I heard that more people always apply to the fall semester compared to the spring. Maybe thats just a rumor. This semester I am taking chemistry 1, history 2, govt. 1, art appreciation and then govt. 2 mini. Im trying to hurry and get these out of the way so I can be on track! Can't wait

Yeah, sounds like your doing the pre reqs for the bsn now.. :)! I would think less people apply in the spring too.. But oh well.. I'm sure we won't have to worry about that! Are you gonna try to take the health assessment and dosage calc this summer whether you get in our not?

I was thinking about that yesterday actually. lol Well because I still have more classes to take for my BSN i think i may just wait to take dosage and health assessment during the program. So that during this summer I can take as much pre reqs for my bsn that I can. Or I can do the opposite take dosage and health in the summer and them take my other pre reqs during the program. I still have to take sociology, statistics and a humanities course. What do you think I should do??? lol And do you know when we can register for the summer at alvin? Im sure its not till april or something.

Yes, as long as you are accepted to ACC and they have you transcripts I don't see why not.. I'm going to go sometime next week to take the registrar a set of my transcripts.. Can you turn in the folder of info to the nsg dept before you apply online? I wonder.. I personally going to do those health assessment and dosage classes this summer and worry about the other pre reqs later since on the instructions PDF it stated they can be taken early, so I'm thinking that enrollment in those classes will prob look good.. I would apply online first. She asked the whole room in the meeting who had already applied and nearly everyones hand went up. After you apply online then you can bring all your stuff down to to office. You can turn your stuff in before the meeting for sure.

One question how will they know if you are enrolled in these classes? Please let me know when we can register for those two classes.

I believe we can ask the registrar for a letter Of enrollment.. Idk.. I'll find out next week :)

Ok.. So this what I was messaged back from the nursing dept...

Also is there a way to inform the Nursing dept if I register for the Dosage calc and health assessment classes this upcoming April in case that's extra points on the application for me??

The only points you get for course grades are for grades you have at the time of the nursing application deadline.* You would not have grades in these courses by the deadline.

Hey I just go this right now. I been super busy haven't been on here for a while lol. So Im guessing taking these classes won't help us any for fall 2011? That sucks. Well I guess if we are really set on going to Alvin and for say we don't get in in the fall (which we will!), we can always apply to spring 2012. They would have to accept us because we would of finished dosage, and health lol Not too sure what I am going to do now.

I checked my application status and they said they received everything!!! So now all I have to do is just wait 3 months and about two weeks

It's all good!! Yeah.. That's what I think.. Plus if for some freak reason we don't get accepted.. We can continue to work on bsn pre reqs.. But I'm sure we will get in. So you're gonna sign up for those two classes I take?!? Cool we can discuss if we need help.. I wonder how many other ppl applying to ACC for the fall will find our thread.. lol! Just took my TEAS test for BC's ADN program.. It's my back up.. But my first choice is definitely ACC!! Ahh! 3 months to wait is going to suck bad.. Lol..

Someone asked her what is a good act score and she said if you get the minimum of 38, 39, 40 then you probably will have a harder time getting in because those scores aren't really competitive.
