You can call me Cedeno, and I'll be applying for the MDC nursing program for fall 2013! I've been excited for awhile now, especially since MDC (and all its red tape) has delayed my intended apply date twice (originally Fall 2012, then Spring 2013). Ah, but no worries!
Right now I'm taking my last bit of classes before applying: A&P 2 w/lab, Micro, and Critical Thinking/Ethics. I've seen many nursing students this semester-- which is wonderful-- but at the same time I think two words when I meet another pre-nursing student: "Awesome! " and "Competition! " (Not seriously, but in a jokey kind of way.)
Once admitted, I'd love to form a study group. Size isn't quite so much the priority as cohesiveness is (though size counts!). I'd love study mates who like to utilize chats like Google talk, Skype, Kik, etc. for times when perhaps we'd like to study something but cannot make it to a physical location.
I'm a visual and auditory learner, so I love highlighters, dry-erase boards, and discussing questions together to ensure everyone understands rather than one person offering up the answer and others just accepting it without knowing.

....Also if you take the TEAS twice is it highest score used or last test taken?
Okay I got a 69.3 on my teas and have a 3.8 Idk I will get in this semester. I am going to continue studying for the teas and hope I can raise my grade for the spring.
So is it just me or is time going by sooooo slowly.... Uugghh we have over a month to wait! I keep having nightmares that MDC is going to misplace my teas scores or get my email wrong and then the email doesn't get to me.....eeek! I want this solo bad.... Oh we'll I'm venting, and rambling....going to get back to trying to distract my mind!
Tati It's not just you! The wait is killing me too. I was super paranoid too that MDC was going to screw something up. I called to check on my application 4 times but I never reached anyone. In the mean time I'm looking for a part time job to past the time and make some money for all of the expensive requirements. :)
They haven't even posted the grades for the spring semester! Hopefully they'll b posted tomorrow (so it says in the mdc page) I'm so desperate! I should've applied to other universities and I didn't
Hello, first time poster here! Joining in, I applied for FT Generic only. My natural science GPA is a 4.0 (as of this morning when grades were posted ^.^) and my TEAS score was an 87.3%. I think if I'm doing my math right, that puts my overall score at 92.38? Correct me if I'm wrong. Very nervous and excited to hear back. Good luck to all!!!
Also, I didn't know it was possible to apply to the Homestead campus???
Hello! Welcome to the thread! Great scores!!!! I didn't know about the Homestead campus until last semester either. I have been trying to view my final grades all morning and they have been posted yet! I'm getting nervous!!

Sorry to hear about not being able to view your grades Could be that there are a lot of people logging on to see them, so maybe the server is full? Hopefully you can get in! As for the Homestead campus, did you have to specifically apply to that campus to get in there or...?
I have a feeling one of my really slack professors hasn't submitted the grades yet. For the Homestead campus you have select that campus and program on your application. They offer Generic FT but I'm not sure about Generic PT or Transitional. I ended up applying for Medical Campus because my goal is accelerated.
