Whoohoo!! Only four weeks left of this semester!! Can't wait!! Each day that goes by brings me closer to my graduation day in May 2004!! This semester has gone really fast!! Seemed like it was going to take forever when it first started and now we're almost at the end!! Here is wishing everyone luck with the finals coming up soon!!
If anyone has any questions about OB/Peds clinicals that is what I am finishing up this semester. Peds was great but I am not about birthing babies. I am a mom and I just want to get in the screaming womans face and say"SHUT UP, screaming like that does not help the pain!!" but I do not think that would be very therapeutic.
Well anyway I just wanted to laugh about that!!

To SbRN2002 and others, sharing stories and helping each other through peds/OB will be great. Next semester will be a really critical semester for me because it will determine whether or not I truly want to do PEDS or OB. I have been working at a children's hospital and I love it but I have been working on the outpatient side not the inpatient. I also been thinking about OB but we will see next semester for sure. I will be doing Med Surg/ICU in Fall 2002. Half of my classmates will start Med Surg/ICU in Spring 2002 and then they will go to Peds/OB in fall. They had to split us up because they said that there are too many students and not enough clinical instructors. It is a shame too because some of my best study buddies and friends that I have made is not going to be in the same team with me but at least we will have one class together and that is nursing research.
