Almost bombed first exam..

OMG .. thank goodness for the weather. The classes being cancelled for tomorrow and Wednesday just saved me. Thought I had been doing so good this semester, only to find out that I had an A&P test THIS THURSDAY! What? I had no idea .. not sure how I misread or skipped over that in the syllabus. My professor never even reminded us that we had an upcoming test so soon.

There is absolutely no way I would have passed the test on Thursday. My professor's notes are so vague. In class he reads directly from his notes so basically unless I pull out a book, I won't learn much at all. Test has been postponed until 2/4. I have a whole week to study now. Whew .. what a sigh of relief.

Google Keep is one of my favorites! Posting a "post it note" to my home screen on my phone as a reminder! I see it so I won't forget!

I post all of my due dates to my email's calendar, 5hen sync that with my phone's calendar. I set my reminders for however far ahead of time I want to be reminded, and my phone alerts me plus I receive an email. There are also planner apps that will track your assignments, due dates, notes, grades, schedule, etc

I use my phone's reminders all the time. I just clearly looked over the exam date. As of now I have all exam dates in my phone to remind me a week in advance. I probably won't even need it now. Because of this I'll probably end up looking at the syllabus everyday. LOL.

Thanks guys for all of the helpful suggestions.

Sounds like you will been needing to use your book and other resources rather than counting on your instructor to spoon feed. This will be something you'll need to get used to as well. Always read the book, always look for additional information anywhere you can find it. Ask lots of questions, and write down every test and assignment in a planner, online, or wherever else you prefer.

See if your school has a calendar that can connect to the calendar on your phone. For example, all my professors [are supposed to] use Blackboard, and the calendar in Blackboard connects with my Google calendar. Whenever they mention something in class, I whip out my phone or laptop and add it in too. I set my Google calendar to alert me on my phone whenever something is coming up. It also pops up on my little tablet, and at my office computer at work in Outlook. I am the most forgetful dude in the world, and using this system has saved me time and time again.

I kinda know when an exam is coming up because the whole class is fretting about it LOL
