We are nurses. When we see a situation, we visualize or imagine how we're going to deal with it.
Well, when it comes to art, the same thing happens with me. I can't stop myself. I look at something and I image things.
I look at members' names and the image of an avatar comes to mind.
I submit thes images with all due respect.
This is, as the kids would say, amazeballs.
Thank you very much, Penelope!
Some members' avatars already fit them. Yours for example. Farawyn's, too. Avatars give others an idea of what we think of ourselves. Your avatar conveys someone, who if not into fast cars, thinks of herself as a confident, hard-driving woman. But not masculine. Cute.
When I first saw Farawyn's avatar, I thought, "Here is someone who really thinks she is cool. And other people think she is cool. And she doesn't always color inside of the lines".
I think my first impression proved right.
Pick me pick me pick me pick me .... please before i make a typo
It's fun to play with ideas. Of course with a username like "Sparki" conveys a energetic, positive sort of impression.
For me, I thought of a spark plug for your avatar. Now clipart on the internet is one of the quickest and easiest ways to work with a simple image to get an idea across. Did you know, because I just found out, that just about every positive spark plug character available is copyrighted?
Usually I can edit the copyrighted material enough that it no longer adheres to legal criteria for me to get into trouble for using the image. Plus, I do not stand to gain monetarily from using the copyrighted material, so I'm pretty darn safe from any legal action.
Anyway, to edit the image of a spark plug character enough to use it would have taken quite a bit of time and energy, so I came up with my own creation for a positive, sparky chararcter:

How is Jacob? Tell him Heyyyyyyyyyyy...
THis is kind of mind blowing: The real Jacob RockstarRN has returned to Wrongway Regional Medical Center and is now a SUPERVISOR!
Do you believe it?
I've got to get back to that thread and update things.
Thanks for asking, Farawyn!
Oh- BTW: I haven't seen Jacob since he works straight weekdays and I'm weekend midnights. But when I see him I will tell him you asked after him.

I freakin' miss you.
Kinky.I had just washed my hare and couldn't do a thing with it.
It doesn't deserve a break!
The thread was about a member asking, on the yellow pages, if we nurses wash our hair every day. It was sent to the blue side where it got a couple of responses. Then the same poster came back a couple of days later and started a new thread in the yellow pages with the same title. I said, "Deja vu all over again" and posted a link to the blue side thread.
From there, I don't know what happened to the thread.
oh my gosh
