All this talk about being a CNA makes me nervous

One of the wonderful things about nursing is that it is a 24-hour job. Sure, we try our hardest to get everything done that we can, but there are those days where everything is turned upside down. They're not always happy about it, but anything you don't get done can be passed on to the next shift (just don't do it every day :)).

You will get quicker and more efficient in time. It just takes experience.

You WON'T get it done on time... at first. And what's gonna happen is that people are going to be snotty about it and you're going to feel like an idiot. But after a while you'll get faster and people get used to you once they know you're going to stick around, and everything gets better.

Whenever you start your new job, you will be training. Even the people who have been CNAs for 100 years go through training to learn about the facility. You're employer will know you are brand new. Most LTC facilities are just happy to have you. :) Within a few days or a week you will have the routine down and be more comfortable.

I've been a CNA for about 6 weeks. It was a lot to take in at first, but it's really not hard. Be willing to help others and show that you want to learn and they will help you too.

fuzzy sums it up nicely. It will be overwhelming at first, but soon enough you will develop your own "system" and become very fast and efficient.
