All FSCJ Spring 2013 Hopefuls

Published

Hi everyone! I decided to start this thread in hopes of seeing if there is anyone excited about applying to the fscj RN program spring 2013. I am currently taking a microbiology class this summer. I would have applied for fall 2012 but met with some technical difficulties. I have 206 in total points w/o micro. Let's stay in touch and keep this ball rolling!

Wow that's low! Great for those people who aren't good test takers!!

No problem, Man-nurse2b! Sorry to hear that!! I thought for sure that you would be joining us! A HUGE positive is that you will be getting your BSN, so that cuts off some time for school for you. I hope it all works out for you financially. We are making huge sacrifices for me to go to nursing school. May you have much success at UCF!!

For those who got in the program and need financial help, I found out that WorkSource career center has a program called Workforce investment Act and they may have scholarship money and be able to help nurse students with tution money books and even gas money. I was checking for central florida, I think the same program is also in northeast florida. Check with the Worksource career center in north campus or financial aid for requirements, not everyone is eligible.

Hey all- I'm getting mixed reviews on this....PSB NAT- Does anyone know if it is better to fill in ALL the answers or to leave them blank if we don't know the answer? Do we get penalized for wrong answers???? help! Plz ;)

You don't get penalized for guessing! Don't leave questions blank!

Always put an answer, there is no penalty for a wrong answer. The test is hard, I won't lie. So prepare yourself. I've heard that the book you can buy from the bookstore is no help. I was relieved after taking the test that I had reviewed all my course materials from A&P, CHEM, MICRO, PSYCH. But in all honesty I felt like I didn't get a single answer right, then I got my results and the tester said I did really good. A lot of mixed feelings!!!

It does say that on the application but it is not correct. Me and about 5 other people in my MICRO class all got rejection letters because we were still in MICRO, they need that grade to determine your eligibility. My lab partner went to the meeting the school held to discuss the letters, and that is what they said. I was sooooo upset/angry/disappointed. My best recommendation is that you apply after completing MICRO, and take Human Nutrition while waiting for your letter. Human Nutrition leaves you with the option to go to any other nursing program at other schools if it becomes necessary.

I got accepted while still in Micro...

I got accepted while still in Micro...
I knew I should have gone to that meeting! People never relay the information, it's like the game telephone. LOL I had over 200 points, I wonder if its because I live in Clay County? Idk, it's the first time I applied, but that doesn't mean anything. :(

I live in clay county too and had 206.something :/ idk what it would be

Ah now I'm nervous! I'll call tomorrow when they open back up. :/

I also live in Clay County and was accepted while actively taking microbiology...

Can someone tell me what the cut off was for the spring term. Im hoping to get into summer or fall term. Thanks
