Hi everyone! I decided to start this thread in hopes of seeing if there is anyone excited about applying to the fscj RN program spring 2013. I am currently taking a microbiology class this summer. I would have applied for fall 2012 but met with some technical difficulties. I have 206 in total points w/o micro. Let's stay in touch and keep this ball rolling!
I been calling them all day today and when i get transferred to nursing dept it keeps ringing ringing and noone picks up. Anyone got a direct number to them? msg me. It would be nice to at least get a denial letter or something, but to get nothing at all jus keeps me wondering what happened to my application.
But you had more points than me! Were you trying for nights and weekends?
Yes i had 200 points unless they missed something, I'm not going to fight it, if someone deserving got my spot its ok. i was trying for nights and weekends cause i got kids and a family and I wanted to keep my day job, I live in Flagler county I did not ask her why i was denied but i think that is the reason.I pay all the bills, my wife dont work, my pay is pretty good so obviously not getting in nursing for the money. But now i will have to figure out something and just make it work. Going to the day program will force me to get student loans...i wanted to avoid that.At the same time, UCF daytona is where i'll be going and its lots closer to home which is a plus, in additional I will end up with a BSN instead of ADN so that is also a plus. So I am still happy I got in there. Financially, I really need help to figure this out I will probably make an appointment with a financial advisor to see what i can do. There's lots of men on here who told me it can be done, so I will see.
No problem, Man-nurse2b! Sorry to hear that!! I thought for sure that you would be joining us! A HUGE positive is that you will be getting your BSN, so that cuts off some time for school for you. I hope it all works out for you financially. We are making huge sacrifices for me to go to nursing school. May you have much success at UCF!!
