Algebra problem help needed ASAP!

Published

I am taking the NET test tomorrow and I am going through the study guide. I keep missing the same two problems and I SWEAR I am doing them right... at least the only way I have ever been taught. Can someone give me an idea of what I am doing wrong here?

6(t+3) +8-5(t+2) =

Now don't you do the +8-5 first and get 3 and then do the problem and get

(6t+18)(3t+6)

and then 9t+24 is the answer?

What in the world am I doing wrong?

Help!

Thanks smartie pants ladies! ;)

LOL, LarryG! Yep, think it's been taken care of. ;) (and her test is today, as this was posted yesterday.) haha...

Has anyone ever figured out exactly what my dear Aunt Sally did...

OK, since what your "dear" aunt did at that New Year's Eve party in 1999 is still not generally known, perhaps I'm not too late to enlighten you. I attended that shindig, and will never forget it.

It reminded me of a scene from "Eyes Wide Shut." I recall your aunt and she was beautiful that night. She and a bunch of folks were... ooops! Wait a sec there! Forgot this was a public forum.

I'm so sorry! I can't disclose what happened here. What the heck was I thinkin'? Sheeesh!!!

It was great though!
